The Essence Music Fest is definitely the weekend to party in New Orleans and when you can incorporate one of your long time favorite brands in the mix, it is a win-win situation. This year I was invited to the Design Essential Blogger Mixer to kick off the weekend as well as get treated to a moisture makeover featuring some of the latest products offered.
The blogger mixer, hosted by brand ambassador, New Orleans native, and vocal powerhouse Ledisi, as well as the beautiful hair guru Jade (LipsticknCurls), was a great start to the weekend with cocktails and delicious bites. The wings were amazing and I even had to get the red beans and rice. But just a little. Didn’t want to kill all my carbs too early in the game!
My girl and fellow beauty blogger, Missy Lynn, and I went together and after a little eating we were able to check out some of the new and popular products from Design Essentials in their beauty suite complete with a DJ, manicures, massages and more. We definitely enjoyed ourselves!
The day while making my beauty blogger rounds, I made my way to the Design Essentials Dayhem Day Party where I received my moisture makeover. The stylist used the Coconut & Monoi Intense Shine Oil Mist to add shine and catch any frizz and fly aways as well as getting my edges together with the new Natural Honey Shea Edge Tamer. I love the edge tamer! It is a light formula that doesn’t leave a residue or your hair overly greasy.
To top it off, Design Essentials sponsored one of the hottest Day Parties held annually. The Dayhem Day Party Hosted by Terrence J at Le Meridien which drew a crowd of celebrities and tastemakers!
