During this year’s Essence Music Festival, I was able to get an exclusive up close look at the newest beauty subscription service called the Essence BeautyBox. Similar to other monthly mail subscription services, this beauty box will feature luxury samples of the latest trends in beauty, delivered directly to your mailbox. However, Essence is differentiating themselves by offering brands and products curated by the magazine’s trusted beauty editors as well as featuring up-and-coming independent brands from African American owned companies. As they describe it, it is created “for us, by us.”

A few other great things about this box is the price point of only $15 per month with the option of 3 subscription plans from monthly to annual. Choosing a plan beyond month-to-month, will offering savings overall.
The BeautyBox Bungalow event was absolutely amazing. It was a quaint environment in a suite, where I was greet with champagne and fresh berries and much needed table of yummy desserts, yum! While learning about the new box, I also won a cute phone case as a giveaway along with an adorable makeup bag. There was a manicure station and the best part of all, custom fashion illustrations from by Mar, of Markette NOLA.
