Show & Tell :: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (Swatches)

It’s here! The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! I wasn’t really looking forward to this until abut 2 weeks before it was released and Urban Decay started posting sneak peeks on Instagram. Because I am pretty much an Urban Decay Palette collector I had to snag it. I’m signed up for the emails, so when I got the go ahead that it was available online, I hopped on and ordered it.

They have sold out three times since, but they are restocking so I suggest signing up for the emails so you will know when it is available again.

I adore the new packaging, though I am not completely impressed by the brush… You get a double sided brush (flat shader and blender) and a small lip gloss along with the 12 shades and a slightly higher price tag at $50.

Naked2 has 12 pigment-rich, taupe and greige neutral eyeshadows, including FIVE NEW shades. Our palette proves once again, neutral is anything but boring, (and is downright sexy when worn Naked). Feast your eyes on our shades ranging from pale to deep, matte to sparkly. This collection lets you achieve lots of neutral looks, smoky dramatic eyes, and everything in between.

Naked2 seems to be slightly cooler toned compared to the first Naked, I like the diversity in finishes and if you have the first one, this palette can be very complimentary.

Review :: Urban Decay Naked Palette

Urban Decay’s Naked Palette is pretty much a hit! It is one of their best palettes that features a great set of neutral colors to compliment any eye color. Plus it features FIVE new shades!!

I didn’t realize that it was going to be so popular, and I’m not sure that Urban Decay did either. I hear that they are getting more at UrbanDecay.com and Sephora, but right now they are still available at Ulta.com. EDIT: Ulta is sold out now too. So if you want it bad enough, you can get it on eBay or wait until they are back in stock. If you sign up on UD or Sephora they will email you when they are back in stock and you can snatch one up!

From Urban Decay:

Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, and feature FIVE NEW shades with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck. Urban Decay has also included a range of textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte.

The chocolatey velvet case is emblazoned with the word “NAKED” in gold foil lettering. (Just wait ’til your friends see you pull this sexy thing out of your bag. Jealous!) The mirrored case also includes Urban Decay’s first double-ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, featuring Zero (Urban Decay’s award-winning black) and Whiskey, a NEW deep brown shade. Urban Decay has also included a travel size Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Urban Decay’s original formula.

This is a shadow palette EVERYONE can use, and a truly spectacular gift. Experiment with office-appropriate neutrals, summertime bronzy looks, or sultry smokiness. With such a diversity of neutral shades at your fingertips, you’ll show there’s more to neutral than meets the eye.

I will definitely be doing a tutorial with this palette… any ideas?
