Show & Tell :: Tarte’s The Jewelry Box (Swatches)

So I went ahead got a jump start on my list for Santa and picked myself up the Tarte Jewelry Box palette since I received my $15 Beauty Insider gift card from Sephora. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while and it’s so amazing!

The palette comes with 16 shimmer shadows, 16 matte shadows, a highlighter, a bronzer, and 5 long wear eyeliners. It is a limited edition set and only available at Sephora. It makes a great gift for the holidays! It even comes with a cute little necklace!

What Tarte says:

What it is:
An exclusive, limited-edition palette packed with 32 new eyeshadows, eight lip glosses, a mineral bronzer, a new shimmering powder, five deluxe long-wearing eyeliners, and a detachable necklace.

What it does:
This versatile palette is a veritable treasure trove packed with new and limited-edition products and shades along with such Tarte bestsellers as a full-size of Park Avenue Princess Mineral Powder Bronzer. As an added bonus, this festive jewelry box comes with its own “off the chain” gilded trinket, guaranteed to be your go-to accessory for holiday parties and year-round.

I’ve swatched all the eye colors, pencils and highlight/bronzer…

    Hi there,
I’m interested in this palette, and I’m curious to know… now that you’ve had it for a few weeks and you’ve presumably used it a few times.. What’s your overall satisfaction / rating of it? Do you feel like the eyeshadows have a good color payoff? Do you feel like they’re too sheer / muddy? I bought the Royal Collection and so I’m looking for more colors now and am just really curious how these colors pay off.

Thanks for the comment, I’ll answer here too in case others are wondering as well. I love the palette, the pigmentation is higher for some shades than others, but they are all very soft and easy to work with/blend. I do find that because they are soft, you get some fall out. The value is unbeatable for the number of shades and amount of products that you get. I like the matte shades very much! There are some gems as far as colors, like the cranberry, copper, and olive colors!

I’m having a hard time deciding between this and the Lorac Box Office Sensation Palate. I’m looking for a variety of colors but I also want quality, value, and wearability. I can’t afford both right now.
    Any input?

I had a hard time deciding between the 2 as well! I went for Tarte for the amount of product per shadow and the quality of each color was a bit more consistent. Also I thought it would be better for travel. I love Tarte and Smashbox but I like the jewelry box better.

Jewellery may be made from a wide range of materials, but gemstones, precious metals, beads, and shells have been widely used. Depending on the culture and times jewellery may be appreciated as a status symbol, for its material properties, its patterns, or for meaningful symbols. Jewellery has been made to adorn nearly every body part, from hairpins to toe rings.`^^:

These kids jewellery boxes can not be damaged quickly .It would be always considered by the kid as something more valuable than all her other possessions. Such boxes are available with music. It operates in such a manner that when a kid opens the jewel box the musical sound of the box would be played to excite her. Unlike girls the boys can not be presented with such jewellery boxes.Kids jewellery boxes usually come in attractive and eye catchy models .It can be made of shiny steel with gold coating or of wood with ethical wooden carvings on it..The size of these boxes also varies with its price.”,'”
