The Essence Music Fest is definitely the weekend to party in New Orleans and when you can incorporate one of your long time favorite brands in the mix, it is a win-win situation. This year I was invited to the Design Essential Blogger Mixer to kick off the weekend as well as get treated to a moisture makeover featuring some of the latest products offered.
Curly girls, we have some new products to keep our curls popping! I recently tested out the Curly Twirls new and improved products, plus some awesome skin care from Karelén. The Curly Twirls CurlPop Powercréme is awesome and worked beautifully on for my twist out, good hold without being too heavy on the hair or leaving a residue. Check out my thoughts on the line and you may find a new brand to add to your curl power arsenal.
So one humid night after I went for a run — which sounds like the opening of a scary movie as I type it — I had to figure out how to course correct what had become a big fluffy mess on my head. I’d used curl formers over the weekend and at this point it had fallen straight and become super frizzy.
So without wanting to rewash my hair, I decided to try a twist out. I have tried this before but only a handful of times. I was pleasantly surprised with the results and have been re-doing the style of the last few weeks.
