Sneak Peek :: CVS Beauty Blowout Haul

A few times a year CVS has a major beauty blowout clearance sale, marking down tons of products up to 75% off! I don’t know the method to the madness, some products or shades could be discontinued or some products may just be overstock. EIther way we get to reap the major savings!

This is in store only, but as far as I know, its at all CVS stores. I went on Friday and only Revlon was marked with the 75% off stickers (it’s a coral color). However, there are tons more on sale! I scanned so many items, they probably thought I was crazy but it paid off because the most I paid for any product was $2.45. In short some of Revlon, Almay, Sally Henson, L’Oreal and Physicians Formula are 75% off and Covergirl, Maybelline, and Neutrogena are 50% off.

Since I am still recovering from having my wisdom teeth pulled 🙁 I can film a video but I do want to at least list all the products so that you don’t have to do the same back and forth scanning that I had to do!

  • Sally Henson Insta-Dri Nail Polish in Mochachino, Blazing Blue, Jumpin’ Jade ($1.37 each)
  • L’Oreal H.I.P. Show Duos in Roaring, Flashy, Adventurous, Devious ($2.07 each)
  • Sally Henson Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Sheerest Cream Blush in Sunset and Ginger ($2.25 each)
  • Revlon Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eye Shadow Quads in Spice, Buff, Plumberry ($2.07 each)

In total I saved $179.44!! That’s friggin’ INSANE!

I will do a video as soon as I can so that I can swatch them and everything soon as I can!

Frugalista Tip: Sales x Manufacture Coupons

I am all about saving money and being fab on a budget! One great way to save a few dollars is to team manufacture coupons (i.e. coupons direct from the brand) and sales in store.

Here is a great example how the two work so well together. Maybelline is currently 40% off at Walgreens (check your local weekly ad). I also had a coupon from Maybelline for $3 off a purchase of any 2 Maybelline Eye Studio products. These can be found on display in most drugstores, Ulta, etc. The coupon can be used in any store that accepts manufacture coupons, so if you are like me, grab a couple for future purchases.

So I picked up 2 of the Eye Studio cream shadow trios and the new Falsies Black Drama. The trios are regularly $6.29, on sale for $3.77 each, then take $3 off. So I essentially paid $4.55 for both.

The proof is in the pudding… I saved $11! More than 50% off the total retail price for all the items!

So stash your coupon in your wallet and wait for a great sale for super savings!
