First Impressions :: Cuticle Remy XQ Hair

I’m rocking new hair, so I thought I’d share… that rhymed! Ha! *dork moment*

I’m trying out the new Cuticle Remy XQ hair from Shake ‘n Go, which also makes Saga Remy Gold. I have 2 packs of 18 inches in a 2. So far I love the softness of the hair, no tangling and minimal shedding. I’ve only had the hair a few days, so these are my initial thoughts  but I will keep you updated!

This hair has many benefits like, unidirectional cuticles, shed-free wefts and should be reusable with proper care.

The hair comes in only straight texture, but is available in 10″ – 18″ and a variety of colors, ranging from $45 – $115.

This is the WORST hair ever!! I usually by the Bobby Boss, but decided to try something new. And because it was on sale, i decided to give this one a try.

When it was first put in, it looked great and felt great. But about 1-2 weeks later it stated shedding and getting tangley a lot. Everytime i run my hads through my hair 5-10 strands (if not more) come out. WTF! This is not normal. DO NOT BUY THIS HAIR LADIES..YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I purchased this hair and it worked okay for me. It did began to tangle after about a month. When I first put it in, it was soooo pretty. But like I said after a month it began to tangle but I am in Afghan where there is A LOT of sand. SO that could be one of the reasons why. But I liked the hair and I purchased some more but I hear a lot of people talking about the Bobby Boss so I’m trying that next time.

This was a total waste of money. I cannot believe how much it sheds. The tangling was unreal. This does not even come closed to Bobbi Boss.

Worst hair ever. Not worth the money at all. Looked beautiful the first 2 weeks after that is sheds and tangles. I thought I had some 20.00 hair in my head for a min. Ladies do not purchase at ALL. Waste of time and money. Can’t wait till take this out and I haven’t had it in for a good 3 weeks.

This hair is horrible. I’ve had it in for a month and it tangled and shedds like crazy. I bought Janet hair and that shedds too but it is way better than the XQ remi hair! Do not waist you money ladies it’s not worth it. I even did some reseach befor I bought it and these girls are compete liers!

I have to concur with the ladies who left the comments before me. This was by far the worst hair I have ever purchased! I bought this hair under the impression that there was MINIMAL shedding and hardly any tangling…it was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! The first couple of weeks, I had no problems but later that’s when all hell broke loose. I watched & read so many positive reviews about this hair so that is what prompted me to buy it and either those ladies were lying or the wrong hair got put in my box. I will now stick with only my remy Saga hair because I didn’t have half the problems I had with this hair. A complete waste of $$$$

At first I didn’t like how straight the hair was, but the secret is to shampoo & condition every couple of days. Just let it air dry. It’s very soft, flowing, and is not shredding.

This hair totally worked for me! i didnt have tangling or shedding. You have to make sure you dont use products in this hair. Just wash and condition wit products made for remy hair and Let it air dry. My only problem is that it dont hold a curl so i had to rod it to get drop curls.

I completely agree that the hair was lovely, silky & shiny at 1st then after 3 weeks dry, tangling and just from combing it huge chunks of hair would come out in my comb or wig brush. It’s a shame b/c this hair is very expensive & I feel ripped off! I’ve used non-remy hair that has performed better than this mess.

I started out with 2 packs of hair in my head 14′ & 16′ and it shed so much it look like i have only a pack & a half in my sew in. So ladies please be aware. The hair stores here in Cleveland want $160 a pack for the 16 inch. Do NOT buy this hair. I did email the company to tell them as well.

for all of the ladies claiming this hair is horrible , I think you may have just failed at maintaining it properly . you have to follow the instructions very carefully when caring for this hair .

Ive had this hair since November 2011 and its going on month #6 for me and I love this hair. i dont put alot of heat and products on the hair. I shampoo and condition with sulfate free products and twist my hair up in two balls with a cap at night and when i wake up in the morning i undo the two twists balls and get a beautiful full loose body wave. This wave lasts me about a good two weeks so heat is rarely applied to my hair at all but if you do try to curl it with irons i did notice that the curl doesn’t last but Im doing good with my twist balls and im reinstalling it again this weekend

I bought Remy XQ, 18 inches, 2 for 230.00. Two packs was not enough, very thin. Bought a half pack for 65. It is exactly 19 days I have worn this hair and I hate it. Week one, ok. Week 2, horrible, it sheds horribly, I mean horribly! Hair everywhere, to come it literally I can take the hair that comes out and make a ball each time. I have wasted almost 400 dollars BC this mess is coming out tonight! Unless you like shedding, Don’t Buy!!! Ive bought hair that was not as expensive and it was so much better. Oh and not to mention I payed 110 to have it sewed in. Ugh!

well I have had great experiences with this hair. Its very soft, flowing and looks natural and matches my hair well. One thing I have noticed is if you don’t wash it within 3-4 weeks it will start to shed and tangle. Dark & Lovely relaxed and natural shampoo & conditioner works well with it. After washing it and blowdrying it it feels like new again. As long as you are taking good care of this care it should be fine.

I have tried several other products but this is by far one of the worst. The $29.99 hair is better than this mess! Hate it.
