Fashion Night Pout vs. Soft Nude

During Fashion Week makeup artist Gucci Westman developed a new soft nude shade of Revlon ColorBurst lipstick to accompany Rag & Bone’s Lawrence of Arabia-inspired collection. It created quite a buzz however, you couldn’t pick this one up in stores… What you could do was log on to Revlon’s Facebook and email them to receive one. Being a big fan of the ColorBurst lipsticks, I went for it.

To my surprise, I was one of the lucky ones to get one! I think many of the people that entered was able to get one.

If you missed the chance, no worries. Fashion Night Pout is very similar to Soft Nude. It’s a bit more pink, but just about the same.

For those of us that are women of color, it is very pale and probably not suitable for everyone without looking like Snooki. I remedy that by lining my lips with a slightly darker nude liner (NYX Nude Pink in this tutorial) and top it with a pinky lip gloss. Works well with Buxom’s Leslie.

Here are a few shots for comparison…
