In the latest installment of Being Just Melody, Jo has me doing upside down curls (…whet?) and the weather in Louisiana is bipolar! However, now that daylight savings has come, we can go for walks with Roxy. She really thinks that she is a big guard dog. Sunday Funday at the gym and meal prep of course to round out the vlog!
Fitness
Mardi Gras season came and went but I stayed on my training schedule with another three sessions. It was freezing on Fat Tuesday but I still made it out to the Zulu Parade. Night parades are much prettier but I didn’t get a chance to make it out to catch one this year and I’m really sad about it, I need new parade partners.
My trainer Jo has challenged me to step it up a notch, or two, well three actually. Three training session in one week! I was a leery of whether I could handle it but I surprised myself and survived. So this week’s vlog features those three sessions as well as my meal prep for the week.
I am back to where it started! ELLE ESS YOU! I bleed purple and gold, so I am very excited to return to my alma mater as an employee. I am the new CRM Manager in Continuing Education. It’s a great new opportunity for me and my career.
As for the my fitness journey, this past week we did a new “kettlebell boot camp” as my trainer Jo calls it. It was tough but effective! I’ve included a good bit of the workout, but there was so much more. This is just a snippet of an hour long workout. What’s even better is there is no need for a gym. Great for those days when you just can’t get out of the house.
