I Made Partner + Other Randomness

Thanks to all my lovely subscribers, I hit 2 milestones in the past week.

I have over 1,000 subbies now and I made partner with YouTube. What does making partner on YouTube mean? Not THAT much but there are some perks, like ad revenue sharing, adding a banner to my channel, and choosing my own thumbnail.

It was just back in November that I had 500 subbies, so to get to 1,000 so quickly is awesome! I appreciate everyone that is subbed and if you’re not… Just do it! It’s free 🙂

As for the other randomness in this video, I have 2 small hauls from Zoya and Ulta. I also announce the winner of the Fire & Ice giveaway, and tell you how I fixed my NARS blush that broke!

Knock Knock… It’s 2011!

The year 2010 has come to an end and it’s that time where we reflect on another year to come. I’ve never been the one to get super dramatic about the new year and proclaim the greatness that is set to happen, but I am always grateful that I am able to see another one.

I take everything day by day, hoping that I continue to grow and learn. 2010 was one of those years where I learned a lot about myself and life.

While I thought last year would really be the year that my entertainment blog, PopCultureFix.com would “take off,” it really became the year where I focus on my passion for beauty! The growth of my YouTube channel and this (my personal) blog has been almost overwhelming but I enjoy it so much!

I’ve grown professionally in marketing and design, so I am thankful for that.

I guess when I reflect on the last year, I’m pleased that I am in a better place than I was last year and to me that all that you can really ask for.

While everyone says that they will let go this or that, negativity and haters, blah blah blah… I just look for a better 2011, because I’ll be better in 2011 from the growth I’ve experienced in the last year.

Dear Santa…

So when you become a parent, your list for Santa totally goes out the window and really becomes a “to buy yourself someday” list! LOL!

I’m a makeup, shoes and gadgets kind of girl, so that pretty much sums up my list.

Here are latest must haves in 2011:

I’ve been looking for a new digital SLR camera and what’s better than this one named one of the best inventions of 2010?! The Sony α55 DSLR Camera is also know as the camera that never blinks! You can shoot up to 10 perfectly focused photos a second and record HD video that never goes blurry. What more can you ask for?!

As you know I’ve been on my YouTube game the last few months, but recording videos have been slightly difficult with my camera, currently a Kodak Zi8. While it’s great for on the go, it doesn’t have some the features I need like auto focus and a wireless controller. So after much research, I have set my sights on this baby… A Canon Vixia M30. It’s right in the middle of the price range, but has all the features I am looking for. HD recording, face detection, Touch & Track auto focus, etc…

I love my iPhone 4 and I love my car… I need to marry these two. I always keep the iPod on my phone full of the hottest music but hate having to make CDs to listen to the music. So I’ve been needing to get a new FM transmitter. The Monster iCarPlay works for me. Easy fix!

Boots, boots, boots… Cold weather means boots for me! Flat boots, Over-the-knee boots, Booties… I love them all and you can’t go wrong with gorls and their boots. This season has been all about over-the-knee boots for me. The Dain boots from ALDO are so bad-ass, I love straps and buckles as hot detailing!

This Cognac Iden Boot from Steve Madden is a great flat boot that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I love the cognac color, it’s a must have for any Fall and Winter collection.

When it comes to makeup, one of the best ways to stage a deal is to take advantage of the holiday palettes! I have my eye on 2 amazing sets that offer a lot of bang for the buck! Plus they are perfect for traveling!!

If you want a great face, great brushes are key. I have some brushes from Sigma and I definitely love the quality and want to collect all of them… They offer a really sweet premium brush kit, with brush roll… Perfect for travel!
